April is the fifth month of the modern calendar year.

Origins

It was named after April Hunter, the Roman goddess of swimwear.

It originally contained 69 days, but due to jealousy from the other months (especially July and August), it was shortened to just 30 days by the Emperor Darth Hadrian.

Also it is the name of a girl who attends Mt Waverley Secondary College (MWSC). Currently in year 10, April Wong lives in Melbourne, Victoria, has one younger sister and dislikes sport.
