Origins of the Little
A 'Little' is not as many suppose the standard issue of measurement based on the avoirdupois grasp of Sid Little, a commedian famous for his impression of seals with Ernie Large. It is a small Guatemalan lizard that closely resembles a fridge magnet found only in Switzerland - having been hunted to extinction in its native lands by Smeg owners. About 2-3 inches long and weighing as much as a half-smoked packet of fags, it is commonly use to refer to something that is bigger than a beetle but smaller than a quad bike.
The Little boom
A party of hopelessly lost hairdressers from East Anglia happened upon this species during one Sunday picnic, and found the smaller Littles made beautiful brooches once stunned into insensibility by a live performance of Liza Minnelli's vocal 'talents'. Their subsequent popularity, the requisite population boom caused by breeding farms, and Liza's month-long bout of laryngitis led to the global incident otherwise known as the "Little Plague" of 2003.
